Start Your Project
With a Detailed Checklist
The best way to make sure your home improvement project stays on-track and under-budget is to use a checklist for every step of the process. Check out the list we’ve provided below for everything you need.
Pre-Installation
Before Your Project
1. Remove furniture from workspace.
2. Empty closets and pantries if needed.
3. Remove oven, fridge, and dishwasher if working in kitchen.
4. Remove all items from countertops.
5. Remove toilet if working in bathroom.
6. Draw blinds or lift or remove window treatments if needed.
7. If installing hardwood flooring, prepare an area for acclimation. Hardwood flooring needs to adjust to the humidity levels in your home before it can be installed.

Project Oversight
During Your Project
Once you know what you need, your next step is to measure the rooms being floored and calculate their areas by multiplying length times width. If you want help from our experts, contact us now to request an estimate.
Project Wrap-Up
After Your Project
1. Wait 24 hours before walking on your flooring.
2. Wait 48 hours before returning furniture.
3. Place felt pads on the legs of all furniture.
4. Wait one week before placing rugs on your new flooring.
5. Keep your flooring completely dry for at least one week.
